Area of application
Elastic, 1 component parquet adhesive for laying
 multi-layer parquet according to DIN EN 13489
on absorbent and non-absorbent subfloors indoors.
In connection with WAKOL Speciality Trowel 5 suitable as an adhesive with an integrated
moisture barrier exclusively for types of parquet with tongue and groove joint on unheated
cement screeds up to 4 CM% or 85% corresponding relative humidity.

Subfloors
The subfloor and the climatic conditions of the room must meet the requirements of DIN
18356. Subfloors must be permanently dry, solid, level and free from cracks, dirt and
adhesion-inhibiting substances.
Mechanically pretreat and thoroughly vacuum-clean calcium sulphate concrete according to
manufacturer’s specifications or according to the applicable standards and codes. Once the
concrete subfloor is free of dust, the parquet may be bonded directly with WAKOL MS 228
Ready-to-lay Parquet Adhesive, elastic. Do not apply WAKOL MS Ready-to-lay Parquet
Adhesive, elastic to cast asphalt; prior consult our technical department.
Do not apply WAKOL MS 228 Ready-to-lay Parquet Adhesive, elastic directly to WAKOL PU
280 Polyurethane Primer or to WAKOL PU 235 Polyurethane Primer.
WAKOL MS 228 Ready-to-lay Parquet Adhesive, elastic can be used as moisture barrier on
unheated cement screeds up to 4 CM% or 85% corresponding relative humidity. In this
application, laying has to be done with WAKOL Speciality Trowel 5.
Usage
Using a notched trowel, apply uniformly on the subfloor, avoiding adhesive pools.
Immediately insert the parquet and press down firmly. Ensure that the underside of each
wooden element is sufficiently coated with adhesive.
Immediately after using, clean tools with WAKOL RT 5960 Cleaning Cloths. After hardening,
WAKOL MS 228 Ready-to-lay Parquet Adhesive, elastic can be removed only mechanically.
Important
Do not use at temperatures below +15°C. In cold weather, warm up WAKOL MS 228 Readyto-
lay Parquet Adhesive, elastic in due time in heated room. All information is based on
approx. 20°C and 65% relative air humidity.

Do not apply WAKOL MS 228 Ready-to-lay Parquet Adhesive, elastic directly to cast asphalt,
to WAKOL PU 280 Polyurethane Primer or to WAKOL PU 235 Polyurethane Primer.

used and the different construction site conditions, which lie beyond our control, preclude any
